Do you have a one-day or short-term event coming up that would be great for a Spiral Wishing Well? While the one-day income record is over $7,000 at a high school, it may not be practical for you to purchase a Well for a single event or weekend fund raising event.
We receive a lot of requests about one day or weekend rentals. Unfort
unately, it is not practical for us to rent them from our facility in Ohio because of the shipping and handling costs. Similarly, local stores that are using Wells do not loan them out because they would have to charge too much to replace the income they would lose by removing them from their present location.
So we have launched a new program encouraging service clubs, schools, churches, and businesses to rent their Wells to local one-day or weekend fund raising events for a 50% split of the coin revenue.
Please contact us and let us know if you would like to rent a Well, or if you would like to become a "Rentor".
If you want to rent a Well and there is a Rentor in your area, we will refer you to them.
Become a Rentor!
There are many local organizations that would like to borrow a Well for a day or weekend. They include all local chapters of familiar charities, churches, schools, and the many groups within a school such as the varsity games and other events. It is possible for your Well to be rented out every weekend and several week nights if you wish. And WOW, that would be raising LOTS of money for you.
Renting your Well is a great way to get your Well paid off and to raise lots of additional revenue. One-day and weekend events are usually heavily promoted and bring in more money than normal retail placements.
Great Exposure and Publicity
It also provides exceptional exposure for the Rentor's organization with their name on the bottom of the Well like the one pictured on this page. In fact, for many organizations, the most important benefit will be the exposure and public relations. They normally have to PAY for advertising, but the Spiral Wishing Well Rental Program generates better exposure, and they raise money in the process.
So the Spiral Wishing Well Rental Program is very profitable for the Rentor. And it is very simple. The Rentee will come pick up your Well, bring it back, and hand you a check for half the coin revenue.
Tools
We provide the following recommendations and "tools" to help Rentors:
Signs: If you rent out your Well, we recommend you place a sign with your name on it on the bottom of the Well, similar to the Kiwanis sign in this sample picture. You will also notice the rim sticker which will generate a lot of rental requests for you. At any given event, every person there represents another charity...a church, a school, a social service organization...and they are always looking for ways to raise money. So your a sign and rim sticker with your name on it will not only be great exposure for you, it will lead to more and more rental requests. We can make the signs for you ($50 for a sign and rim sticker) or you can have them made locally.
Press Release: This alerts your city that you have a Well available for fund raising events. Of course, you can also contact charities, churches, and schools directly and let them know they can rent your Well. You can modify the press release for that purpose too. Also, with your name and number on the Well, whenever it is being rented out, many of the people who see it will represent another charity, and so you will receive inquires from those leads too.
Standard Rental Agreement This is a document you can print on your letterhead. We also encourage your to send it to everyone who inquires about renting the Well from you because it includes a link to the following document which will give them a lot of confidence.
How to Maximize Fund-Raising Event Income (pdf) One of the ideas in this document is that they can give toy mini-Wells away FREE to those who donate $25 or more. Their cost is $15, so it is possible to raise more money giving the toys away than the coin revenue. If you are a Rentor and allow us to refer inquiries to you, we will make the toys available to you at the lowest wholesale price so you will earn money by supplying the toys to your Rentees.
